SUU Woodwind Day is a one-day educational outreach symposium welcoming participants of all skill levels to come, perform, and engage with SUU woodwind faculty and students. The day will consist of recitals, masterclasses, clinics on instrument repair and improvisation, as well as a festival woodwind ensemble composed of both event participants and SUU music students.


SUU Woodwinds Day Schedule
9:00am - 10:00am Welcome and Vendor time
10:00am - 11:00am Break into individual instrumental groups and rehearse chamber pieces
11:00am - 12:00pm SUU Faculty/Student Woodwind recital
12:00pm - 1:30pm Lunch (not provided for the students)
1:30pm - 2:30pm Education clinics: Improvisation class, reed class (can have a separate double & single reed class), preparing for auditions/solo & ensemble, Steve France repair clinic
2:30pm - 3:30pm Masterclass/coachings
3:30pm - 4:30pm Large Woodwind ensemble chamber rehearsal/performance
4:30pm End
