Judicial Branch

The Judicial Branch consists of a Chief Justice and appointed Associate Justices. The Judicial Branch has the jurisdiction and authority to hear and decide all grievances filed against any officer, governing body of SUUSA and student clubs and organizations, and has the authority to review the SUUSA Constitution, all SUUSA policies regardless of which body has implemented them including all governing body bylaws and rules of order. The duties of the Judicial Branch include: certify and publish election results; periodically review the SUUSA Constitution, governing body bylaws, and all policies and procedures to ensure they are consistent with each other and the SUUSA Constitution; sit on select SUUSA Committees; and serve as student representatives on the University Appeals Board.
