Graduate Student Conference Funding Instructions

SUU Graduate Studies offers reimbursement funding to graduate students to help build professional knowledge and research skills.  Ideally, a graduate student requesting funding will be engaged in research.

Graduate students may apply for funding at two levels:

  1. A graduate student approved to present at a professional conference may apply to receive reimbursement for up to $650. Students in this category are given preference to the funding where applicable.
  2. Graduate students attending a conference related to their program may apply for up to $250 in reimbursement.

Apply

To apply, before conference travel, fill out the application form and submit it with the appropriate documentation.

For the $250 application, graduate students are asked to submit two items:

  1. Application
  2. List of a few sessions at conference related to student’s program of study

For the $650 application, graduate students are asked to submit three items:

  1. Application
  2. Letter of approval to present at the conference
  3. Some digital copy or artifact of presentation (PowerPoint, graphics, photographs and so forth)

Reimbursement

For reimbursement, after conference travel, submit the following documents to:

  2. Proof of conference attendance and/or copy of artifact or presentation (PPT, poster, etc.)
  3. Receipts
