The SUU Grad Path Program helps eligible students start their master’s degree early. You can take up to 6 graduate credits in their senior year. Grad Path makes the transition to graduate school simple and affordable. It helps you graduate faster, start your career sooner and save money on graduate tuition.
Grad Path is for eligible SUU seniors and recent bachelor’s graduates. You must meet GPA and program requirements. Some programs offer Grad Path Courses, Direct Admit, or both options. Eligibility may vary by graduate degree program.
Grad Path Courses allows you to take approved graduate courses early. It also has a 3.0 GPA qualification.
Grad Path Direct Admit guarantees you entry into a specific master’s program with a 2.5 GPA qualification. Direct Admit students are automatically considered for a scholarship award.
Some programs qualify for both Grad Path options.
If you enroll in Grad Path Direct Admit you are considered to receive a scholarship award. The scholarship helps reduce your tuition costs for graduate school. The best news - there is no separate scholarship application required.
Students may be considered to receive up to $1,000 the first semester.
Scholarship eligibility depends on program approval and admission status.
Yes, many students combine both Grad Path options to take full advantage of the benefits. This strategy maximizes your time and tuition savings. You can begin graduate coursework and secure program admission. Combining options helps you finish your master’s degree fast and starting your career sooner.
To apply for both Grad Path options, complete the Apply for Courses first to enroll in approved graduate classes during your bachelor’s degree.
You must apply to Grad Path Courses and get Graduate Admission approval before the program advisor can register them.
You must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and 90 credits earned, or in progress, to qualify the Grad Path Courses program. GPA and credits will be verified at the beginning of each semester.
You may enroll in combined maximum of 18 graduate and undergraduate credits per semester.
A maximum of 6 graduate credits is allowed per semester with Grad Path.
Courses taken as part of one graduate program may not be accepted within another graduate program.
An application will need to be filled out for each semester you want to participate in.
You must pass each graduate course with a B or better in order to continue in Grad Path Courses program.
If you pass Grad Path Courses with a 3.0 or better you will automatically be admitted into your preferred graduate program
If you do not maintain a 3.0 GPA, you can still be considered under the graduate program’s admission criteria, or you may apply for Direct Admit.
All graduate registration will be done through the Grad Path Courses application. The typical Registration Add/Drop Form for undergraduates wanting to add graduate courses will not be supported.

About the Program
Take your career in sports and fitness to the next level with SUU’s Master of Science in Sports Conditioning and Performance Grad Path program. You’ll master advanced strength training techniques and exercise science to boost athletic performance, preparing you for careers as coaches, personal trainers, and athletic trainers.
This program includes a required two-week summer workshop on campus, giving you hands-on experience to refine coaching techniques, develop practical skills, and grow as a leader in strength and conditioning.
Courses are fully online and designed for flexibility, letting you balance work, training, and life while completing your graduate degree

Option 1: Grad Path Courses
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Earn up to 6 graduate credits during your senior year at SUU. These credits apply directly to your future Master of Science in Sports Conditioning and Performance degree.
Graduating with a 2.5 GPA or higher? You may qualify to enter the master’s program without the standard admissions process. You'll also receive a graduate scholarship.

Eligibility Reminder: You must have a baccalaureate degree and completed undergraduate courses in exercise physiology (e.g., KIN 3070) and biomechanics (e.g., KIN 3060).
