Important Visa Policy Update (June 2025)

As of June 18, 2025, the U.S. Department of State has implemented expanded screening and vetting procedures for visa applicants. More details can be found here:

Additionally, a recent communication to U.S. embassies states that priority for visa appointments should be given to students applying to universities with an international student population of 15% or lower. Because SUU's international student population is below 15%, SUU students may be eligible for priority visa appointments.

We encourage students needing a new visa to contact their local U.S. embassy or consulate to inquire about the possibility of scheduling a priority appointment.
