Stillman Sculpture Court
On the grounds of The Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts, east of the museum, visitors will find a place for reflection in the Stillman Sculpture Court. Currently, the court features works of art by Jane DeDecker and Marvin Nelson with plans to add sculpture in the coming year. Initial support for the sculpture court came to Southern Utah University (SUU) from Larry and Liane Stillman in 2016.
In 2019, the museum received funding from Iron County, the Stillman family, and SUU to transform the space into a beautiful garden for all to enjoy. Visitors will experience new pathways, reconfigured lighting and benches, and added flora such as shrubs, flowers, and ground cover. The funding from Iron County also helped the museum add much-needed seating to the Sam and Diane Stewart Family Foundation Plaza.
