Internships at SUMA

The SUMA Internship program provides selected SUU students with opportunities to work on mentored projects in one of the following museum areas:

  • Curatorial: Working with our Collections & Exhibitions team in the management of the museum’s collections; also the documentation, care, and transportation of all artworks to and from the museum.
  • Education: Working with the Learning & Engagement team on the research, interpretation, and execution of exhibition theses; also the production of educational materials and programs.
  • Marketing & Public Relations: Working with museum marketing and public relations team to strategize, create, and produce promotional materials for the museum.

Please download and complete the internship application form. Please include the following when you submit your application:

  • Current résumé
  • Cover Letter (provide a brief account of how you hope to benefit from this internship, and what you feel you could contribute to SUMA through this mentoring process)

 

Application deadlines

For Fall semester: July 1st 

For Spring semester: November 24th

For Summer semester: April 1st 

 If you are in the MFA or MA track for Arts Administration and would like to complete your internship or capstone projects at SUMA, please follow the same process and deadlines.
