Facilities Management Job Safety Analysis

Job Safety Analysis (JSA) is a safety tool that can be used to define and control hazards associated with a certain process, job, or procedure. It is a systematic examination and documentation of every task within each job to identify health and safety hazards, and appropriate mitigation controls for each hazard. JSAs can be used and implemented in a variety of workplaces and practices. Similar practices such as a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) follow the same pattern of a step-by-step breakdown of a job or process in order to identify and control hazards.
